Alex studied Fine-Art in Glasgow and Belfast under Alistair MacLellan. His work in physical theatre, dance, sculpture and design has been shown internationally and his company Transfigured have made many significant performance events – forming the basis for an uncompromising vision of creative integrity.

Alex Rigg has worked widely in Scotland with many leading Arts practitioners. His solo work and his work with Transfigured has been consistently ground-breaking and brought new audiences to physical performance.

The Mentors which Oceanallover are choosing to involve on this project are all successful practitioners and Alex has developed a professional relationship with them through his involvement with high-profile, successful collaborations. These include many of Theatre Cryptic’s earlier performance presentations such as “Child Lover” and “Bonjour Tristesse” along with performance and costume work for Test Dept and nva, costumes and design for The Working Party, Costume and Design for Theatre Babel, performance and design for The Dance House and Dance Base, performance and design for the CTP at RSAMD Design and Performance for Mischief La Bas as part of their “Painful Creatures” project.
